Patchy high cloud can be seen over the northern tropics of Australia with a few isolated thunderstorms remaining near the north coast of the Top End and the northern tip of the Cape York Peninsula.
Patchy low cloud remains over much of Victoria and Tasmania ahead of a cold front, which is approaching Bass Strait.
A mid level trough is generating a middle level cloudband over the far south of Western Australia and also the Bight.
