IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 0000UTC chart on 28 May 2015 Issued at 11:01 am EST Thursday on 28 May 2015 A broad cloud band extends from the northwest of WA through large parts of South Australia and southern NT, into NSW. This cloud is due to a surface and upper level trough. Patchy low cloud remains over parts of Tasmania and southern Victoria behind a weakened frontal system. A stronger cold front is approaching Tasmania from the west and is also bringing areas of low cloud to the far southwest of WA. Patchy low cloud along parts of the Queensland east coast is due to a moist onshore airflow.
