A developing area of cloud over southern and central Western Australia is associated with a deepening surface trough to the west.
Scattered high cloud can be seen in the tropics.
A cold front over the Tasman Sea is moving east. Cold unstable air behind the front is over ocean waters east of Bass Strait.
Areas of low cloud trapped under a subsidence inversion are over southeast South Australia and parts of Victoria.
