Embedded thunderstorms are evident off the New South Wales coast and is due to a
deepening trough of low pressure over the western Tasman Sea. 

In the north, the afternoon heat combined with slight moisture has given rise to
a field of cumuliform clouds over far northern Australia.

High based cloud can be seen over central Australia due to an upper level
trough. This cloud streams across Queensland captured by the subtropical jet

In the southwest, the cloud band crossing southern WA is associated with a
passing cold front. Further east, a high pressure system over the Bight is
directing an onshore flow over SA and Victoria leading to patchy low level
