An area of patchy middle level cloud extends over central parts of Northern
Territory, western Queensland and New South Wales, and is associated with a slow
moving surface trough. 

A cold front is now moving into western New South Wales and Victoria, rain and
thunderstorms continue in this area with the thickening frontal cloud band. An
area of showers and thunderstorms near the low pressure system is crossing the
Eyre Peninsula. 

A high to the southwest of WA is directing a moist onshore flow to the remaining
southern coastlines of Western Australia and South Australia, with patchy low
level cloud present in this area.

A low pressure system over the eastern Tasman Sea is approaching New Zealand.
