Satellite Notes for the 0000UTC chart on 6 March 2015
Issued at 12:26 pm EDT Friday on 06 March 2015

Showers and thunderstorms are active about the Kimberley and Pilbara districts
of Western Australia due to a low pressure trough. High and middle level cloud
is streaming from this area across southern WA to western South Australia. An
established upper level trough is generating this extensive cloud band.
Thunderstorms are also occurring over far north Queensland.

High cloud is streaming over southeast Queensland due to a jet stream.

Further south, a strong cold front has now moving over the Tasman Sea with low
cloud behind the front impacting Tasmania and Victoria. This front connects to a
developing low to the south.
