Patchy low cloud can be seen over NSW, VIC, TAS and SA. This cloud is due to the
interaction between a low pressure system sitting in the Tasman Sea and a high
pressure system over southern NSW. Thunderstorm activity is evident around the
low in the Tasman.

A cold front and associated cloud band has begun to influence the southwest
parts of Western Australia.

Some mid to high level cloud is visible over Tasmania. This cloud was produced
by a cold front which has since weakened to the south of the state.

The rest of the country remains clear due to the large high pressure system
centred over southern NSW.
