A series of troughs and a widespread cold airmass extends from the Great
Australian Bight through southeast Australia and into the Tasman Sea. Extensive
low level cloud and speckled cloud indicating active showers and thunderstorms
stretch across the region.

A cold front appraoching the southwest corner of WA can be seen with a cloud
band wrapping into a low pressure system associated with the system.

The remainder of the country is mostly clear under the influence of a high
pressure ridge.
