A strong cold front with a middle level cloud band is moving across the
southeast of the country. A large pool of cold and unstable air is in its wake.

Patchy low cloud can also be seen across New South Wales, central Western
Australia and parts of tropical Australia.

The rest of the country remains mainly cloud free due to a ridge of high
pressure.
