A thick cloud band associated with a cold front over southwest Western Australia stretches through the southern Indian Ocean down to a deep low in the Southern Ocean. Upper level cloud with embedded thunderstorms streaming away from tropical convection over the northern Indian Ocean, sweeps across Australia.
