Satellite Notes for 1200UTC chart on 21 November 2014

Issued at 11:28 pm EDT Friday on 21 November 2014

A broad mass of cloud with embedded thunderstorms lies over large parts of northern Australia and extends in a band from the northwest of Queensland to the far northeast of NSW. This cloud is associated with areas of low pressure over the north and a surface trough over inland parts of Queensland.

Cloud associated with a trough over the Bight is approaching coastal areas of South Australia from the west. Some patchy low-level cloud can also be seen over mostly coastal parts of the Southwest Land Division of WA within a moist onshore airflow.
