A band of middle to high level cloud lies over eastern Victoria and New South
Wales and extends into the Tasman Sea. This cloud is due to a low pressure

A strong cold front lies to the southwest of Tasmania, with its associated cloud
band currently crossing the southwest coast. A significant pool of cold air lies
over the Southern Ocean behind this front.

Patchy low cloud over the Queensland's east coast is the result of moist
southeasterly trade wind flow. An area of low cloud can be seen over
southwestern Western Australia and the Indian Ocean, and is due to moisture
trapped under a high pressure ridge.

The remainder of the country is mostly clear.
