A cloud band with embedded thunderstorms is over southeastern Western Australia, western South Australia and the Great Australian Bight. This cloud is associated with a trough through the region connecting to a low pressure system south of WA. Low level cloud wrapping around the low covers coastal parts of southern WA. Patchy high cloud ahead of this system lies across parts of the southeast mainland.
Low cloud is over eastern New South Wales and southeast Queensland in the wake of a cold front, now over the Tasman Sea near New Zealand.
Cloud in a moist onshore airstream affects the Queensland central and northern tropical Coasts.
High level cloud is streaming towards the southwest of WA is associated with a cold front well to the west.
