A broad, patchy cloud band extends from the Kimberley reigon of WA across the
Northern Territory to the southeast of the continent and is associated with
surface and upper level troughs. The surface trough has also brought
thunderstorms over eastern Victoria and the Tasman Sea.
A cold front and trough system moving over western WA with associated low to
middle level cloud ahead of this system extending over central parts of the
Patchy low cloud can also be seen about the east coast of Queensland within a
moist southeasterly airflow. Patchy low cloud can also be seen over coastal
South Australia associated with moist onshore flow.
