Satellite Notes for 0600UTC Chart on 18 October 2017
Issued at 12:18 am EDT Thursday on 19 October 2017

Extensive cloud with thunderstorm activity is over the Coral Sea and adjacent
Queensland coast. This is due to a surface low pressure trough near the QLD
coast combining with an upper level disturbance to the west.

Cloud is streaming from northwest South Australia to south of Tasmania ahead of
a coupled low pressure trough and cold front.

An area of low cloud is over southwest WA in the onshore flow driven by the high
pressure system.
