Issued at 11:33 pm EST Friday on 19 September 2014
A cold front is moving quickly over the Tasman Sea. Cool southwesterly winds behind the front are resulting in areas of low cloud over southern Victoria and Tasmania. Showers and isolated thunderstorms associated with a trough are evident on the NSW coast. An upper level trough is generating patchy high level cloud through central Australia. Isolated thunderstorms are active over western districts of South Australia.
Generally clear conditions through Western Australia and across the north of the country although some patchy high cloud is streaming across far north Queensland.
