A low to middle level cloud band associated with a cold front extends from the
southwest of Western Australia down to a deep low over the Southern Ocean.
Another cloud band is moving across eastern Victoria and New South Wales with a
decaying cold front.

A thick upper level cloud band is streaming down from tropical convection over
the northern Indian Ocean to central Australia and southern Queensland and then
out over the Coral Sea. While an upper trough off the New South Wales coast is
triggering thunderstorms over the Tasman Sea.
