A deep low pressure system over New Zealand and associated cold pool are
producing low cloud over much of the Tasman Sea and widespread middle level
cloud and some thunderstorm near New Zealand.

A complex region of low pressure sits to the south of the Bight and has multiple
cold fronts and troughs. The strongest of these systems is the cold front which
is moving across southern WA with some isolated thunderstorms and middle level
cloud.

A ridge of high pressure is responsible for keeping the rest of the continent
mainly cloud free.
