A cold front and a trough are generating an extensive cloud band that stretches
from the Northern Territory over Queensland and northeast New South Wales to the
Tasman Sea. Areas of thunderstorm activity are evident along the cloud band.

Middle level cloud is wrapping around a small low pressure over eastern Bass
Strait. This cloud is affecting northeast Tasmania and Flinders Island.

A mass of cold air is being driven onshore bringing low cloud to the South
Australian and Victorian coasts.
