A broad area of low pressure covers the majority of the mainland. Lows are
centred over central WA and SA, with troughs extending from the pilbara to the
southeast coast of WA, and between the two lows then eastward across northern
NSW and into Victoria.

A patchy cloud band extends between the two lows, with thunderstorms occurring
throughout the low pressure region, particularly along the troughs.
Thunderstorms are also visible over Cape York and the Top End.

A large mid-level cloud mass is moving rapidly across the eastern Bight towards
Victoria and Tasmania.

A pool of cold air over the Tasman Sea is producing large areas of speckled
