Middle to high level cloud streaming across the central and eastern parts of the
continent is associated with an upper level trough and a jetstream. Embedded
thunderstorms can be seen within this cloud band over the central parts of NT
and the interior of WA.

A strong cold front is moving across Tasmania with a large pool of cold air and
low cloud behind the front.

Thunderstorm activity over the Top End of the Northern Territory is due to a
