Satellite Notes for the 1800UTC chart on 17 September 2014.

Issued at 5:49 am EST Thursday on 18 September 2014

A trough over the Tasman Sea is producing a broad area of cloud with isolated thunderstorms. While a cool southwesterly airstream behind the trough is resulting in areas of low cloud over southeast of the country.

Patchy middle level cloud can be seen over parts Western Australia and also the southwest of the Northern Territory, this is due to a middle level disturbance. The remainder of Australia is mostly cloud free.
