Showers and thunderstorms are active about the Kimberley and Pilbara districts
of Western Australia due to a low pressure trough. High and middle level cloud
is streaming from this area across southern WA to western South Australia. An
established upper level trough is generating this extensive cloud band.
Thunderstorms are also occurring over far north Queensland.

A trough extending across the Top End, to the east coast of Queensland causing
extensive areas of thunderstorms.

Further south, southerly flow behind a strong cold front in the Tasman Sea is
causing low cloud to impact Tasmania and Victoria.
