Isolated thunderstorm activity can be seen about the northern tropical parts of the country associated with an active monsoon trough. More frequent thunderstorm activity is associated with Ex-Tropical Cyclone "Gillian" over Cape York Peninsula and also with ex-Tropical Cyclone "Hadi" over the Coral Sea. Further convective cloud with isolated thunderstorms is located over western WA associated with a broad area of low pressure.
A cloud band with isolated thunderstorms over southern SA and southern New South Wales, as well as Victoria and Tasmania is associated with a surface trough. A cold front can be seen near Tasmania.
