The subtropical ridge is keeping southern and central Australia largely cloud
free. There is just some patchy low cloud over the coastal parts of South
Australia, Victoria and Tasmania in a cool southeasterly airstream.

A trough is moving up the New South Wales coast, producing some low cloud along
the coast and also out over the Tasman Sea.

Another trough across the north of Australia is producing thunderstorms and some
patchy middle level cloud over northern Queensland, the Northern Territory and
northwest WA.
