IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for 0000UTC Wednesday 08 December 2016 Issued at 12:27 pm EDT Thursday on 08 December 2016 Cloud band with embedded thunderstorms across the central parts of the country is due to surface and upper level troughs. Thunderstorms off the northwest coast of Western Australia is associated with a tropical low located further to the northwest. A cold front with an associated cloud band and embedded thunderstorms can be seen moving across the southeast parts of the country. The cold front spirals into a low pressure system located to the west of Tasmania. Low cloud is visible along the southern coast of the country in the cool westerly airstream behind the cold front.
