Satellite Notes for the 0000UTC chart on 19 September 2014.
Issued at 12:09 pm EST Friday on 19 September 2014
A cold front just east of Tasmania is producing a cloud band with isolated thunderstorms, while a cool southwesterly airstream behind the trough is resulting in areas of low cloud about the southeast of the country.
Patchy middle level cloud is evident over southern parts of the NT and northern SA. A band of middle and upper level cloud extends over NSW, associated with and upper level disturbance. Some low level cloud is over southwest WA. Patchy high level cloud is crossing the Bight due to a cold front to the south.
The remainder of the Australian continent is mostly cloud free.
