Scattered thunderstorms and showers over the Arafura Sea are associated with a weak tropical low. Isolated thunderstorms and scattered showers over the Gulf of Carpentaria and northeast tropics of Queensland is associated with a broad area of low pressure in conjunction with a trough in the middle levels of the atmosphere.
Middle and high level cloud streaming across central and southeast parts WA is associated with a low pressure system located further to the west.
Cold air instability in the wake of a cold front in the Tasman Sea is producing some convective showers over parts of Tasmania. An active trough is triggering some showers and thunderstorms in the northeast of NSW and along a cloud band extending into the Tasman Sea.
