Thunderstorms over northeast New South Wales and southeast Queensland are
associated with a surface trough.

A broad area of low pressure over northern Australia combined with low level
moisture is triggering isolated thunderstorms over the Top End.

Middle level cloud through central WA is streaming down from a tropical low over
the Indian Ocean and extends across the Pilbara, Gascoyne and Interior districts
of Western Australia.

The remainder of the country is relatively cloud free with a ridge of high
pressure extending over southeast Australia.
