Low cloud along the east coast of Victoria, New South Wales and southern
Queensland is due to cold airmass associated with a complex low pressure system
near New Zealand.

Cloud with embedded thunderstorms over the eastern parts of South Australia is
due to a cold front and low pressure system. Low cloud behind the cold front, is
affecting the southern coastal areas of Western Australia and South Australia.
Middle and high level cloud streaming across the western parts of Victoria and
New South Wales is associated with an upper level trough.

Another cold front can be seen to the south of Western Australia, associated
with mainly middle level cloud.

The remainder of the country is mostly clear under the influence of a high
pressure ridge.
