A trough is moving over the eastern states as a weakening cold front passes to
the east of Tasmania. This is producing middle level cloud and thunderstorms
about eastern parts of Victoria and New South Wales and also over Tasmania and
ocean waters to the east. A large mass of speckled cloud lies to the west of
this front, bringing some showers and low cloud to coastal southern Western
Australia and South Australia.

Patchy cloud can be seen over the Queensland east coast from Townsville
northwards in a moist onshore flow, bringing showers.

Some high cloud is streaming over far north Queensland from the north.

The next front can been seen approaching southwest WA from the Indian Ocean.
