Moisture is feeding into the Pilbara region of Western Australia from a weak tropical low to the west of Christmas Island. The cloud band then extends across Western Australia and South Australia to the southeast of the continent. Isolated thunderstorms can be seen embedded within the cloud band over parts of Western Australia and southern coastal regions of South Australia.
Patchy low cloud lies over southern coastal regions of WA within a moist southerly airstream. A cold front and its associated cloud band are slipping to the southeast of Tasmania. Diurnal convective activity about the west coast of the Top End has dissipated overnight.
