The world-renowned expertise of CSIRO and the Bureau of Meterology Research Centre provide the scientific foundations for the initiative. The operational experience, and observing and communications infrastructure of the Bureau of Meterology provide an appropriate development framework. The High-Performance Computing and Communciations Centre, provides the needed computational power. The RAN brings to the collaboration an important perspective related to national security and is a significant end user of the products generated by BLUElink>.
