Hydrometeorological
Applications
of Weather and Climate Modelling
The Bureau of Meteorology Research Centre (BMRC) will hold its 17th annual Modelling Workshop from 3 to 6 October 2005. This year's workshop, exploring the theme Hydrometeorological applications of weather and climate modelling, will be conducted in the Bureau's new Head Office, 700 Collins Street, Melbourne. Dr Alan Seed (BMRC) is the Workshop Chair.
A number of prominent scientists and experts from overseas, as well as the Bureau, CSIRO, and Australian universities, have been invited to give presentations on hydrometeorological modelling for research and operational purposes. The presentations will be divided along the themes of:
Keynote presenters will include Peter Bauer (ECMWF), Katia
Laval (LMD, France), Ken Matthews (National Water Commission), Bruce Rhodes
(Melbourne Water), Alan Seed (BMRC) and Soroosh Sorooshian (Chair, GEWEX,
SSG).
