I am currently working on the development
of a statistical method to downscale global climate model outputs given
by the coupled Atmospheric-Oceanic General Circulation Model of the BMRC,
to local surface temperature and rainfall in Australian regions. The method
is based on an analogue
technique. This technique has been applied to climate change scenarios
as well as seasonal forecasting. In this latter case, an hybrid seasonal
forecast is being developed using dynamical prediction of the futur of
ENSO development and statistically relate this evolution to Australian
rainfall and temperature.
A poster has been
set up to describe the technique. For easier reading, the poster has been
divided into several A4 PDF sections. Click either a section
of the Graphic or click on a link from the following index list, to read
the PDF:
Please note that you must download Adobe Acrobat
Reader version 3.1 or later (available freely from ADOBE) to access
the PDF version of the poster.
