Folks,
A pretty MCS has formed E of West Wyalong in NSW as evident in the 1:25 UTC VIS image
It seems that the circular anvil is associated with a mesoscale low (an MCV perhaps, any takers?) with cyclonically curved spiral bands extending out in various directions.
Dewpoints remain high in E VIC and NSW, but predicted southerly flow into western VIC is a new player on the scene featuring colder air than yesterday's post-boundary parcels. The Laverton radar is beginning to show a southerly push into Melton/Sunbury as of 2:20 UTC. Will this boundary initiate soon?
Deep-layer shear is slightly up on yesterday favouring the intensification of the more southern cells later.
No complaints about this pattern from me!
