Maps of the Kelvin wave real-time filtered OLR anomalies. The first three maps are for the most recent three days of observed data and subsequent maps are the forecasts of the Kelvin wave OLR anomalies produced by this real-time filtering technique. Only the negative OLR anomalies are shown. Blue shading is an indication of enhanced convection and rainfall associated with this convectively-coupled wave.
