Maps of the n=1 equatorial Rossby wave real-time filtered OLR anomalies, each averaged for a period of 5 days. The first map is for the most recent 5 days of observed data and subsequent maps are the forecasts of the ER wave OLR anomalies produced by this real-time filtering technique. Blue shading is an indication of enhanced convection and rainfall while orange shading is an indication of suppressed conditions.
