Interests and Research:

I research a number of distinct areas. I have been active in the development of wind profiler radar techniques, RASS and recently the retrieval of precipitation microphysical information from profilers. My recent meteorological studies have focussed on the diurnal variation of the boundary layer and the study of convective systems. This has focussed on tropical cyclone rainband structure and squall line circulations. I am PI on projects to develop a 50 MHz boundary layer wind profiler and the development of operational Doppler radar analysis support systems.
