Ionospheric Prediction Service (IPS)
The Bureau of Meteorology's Ionospheric Prediction Service (IPS) offers radio propagation, geophysical and space weather services to Australian and overseas agencies.
The IPS team has a diverse workforce ranging from people with a background in Physics, Engineering, IT, administrative and accounting professionals.
We aim to recruit expertise to support the development and use of these services based on a network of solar / ionospheric / geomagnetic observatories. A major focus of our work is developing models to provide real-time space weather services; refining current real-time models; upgrading operational software / hardware for monitoring equipment.
