Charges for Climate Data

A charge is made for the supply of climate information, other than for very simple requests. The charge will depend on what is requested and how it is to be supplied.

Once we know details of the request, we will supply a quote of the cost. However, we cannot usually begin the work until you have contacted us accepting the quote and providing payment details.

In all cases, we are obliged to ask for prepayment before we service the request. Payment may be by Bankcard, Mastercard, Visa, American Express (available at some offices only), cheque or by purchase order number. We cannot accept Diners Club cards.

If you know exactly what you need, and supply your credit card details with an indication of the maximum payment you are prepared for, we can begin your request immediately and will contact you with the charge beforehand if you wish.

To discuss your needs, please contact the Bureau of Meteorology Regional Office in your state, or the National Climate Centre. The National Climate Centre can also assist with climate data, particularly where you want a large quantity or many sites. However, all enquiries about forecasting and warning, weather maps, etc. should be addressed to the local Regional Office in your State.
