The Australian climate computer archive holds data from:
- some 18,000 rainfall sites (both open stations and old closed sites which are no longer reporting)
- about 6500 rainfall sites which are 'open' and reporting
- over 1500 sites with other climate data, such as temperatures at specific times of day, wind and
weather
- about 550 open sites reporting other climate data
- more limited numbers of sites for sunshine, evaporation and maximum wind gust information
We can supply data in a number of ways, such as via FTP,
email, CD/DVD-ROM and on floppy disc.
If you send a request to any of the contact addresses,
please remember to include all the following information:
- Your full name
- Your organisation, if any
- Your address
- Your phone number and/or your fax number (so we may contact you to discuss your request)
- Area,location of interest
- Data required
- Time period required
- The type of information (eg montlhy rainfall) that you need
Without this information we may not be able to reply quickly
or sometimes at all.
