Source of data

Temperature, humidity, wind, pressure and rainfall observations are from Mount Crawford Fire Tower {station 023878}. Cloud and sunshine observations are from Nuriootpa Viticultural {station 023373}. Evaporation observations are from Williamstown (South Para Reservoir) {station 023820}.

Evaporation data from Williamstown (updated monthly) is representative of an open site in the area, but note evaporation is affected by cloud cover, relative humidity, temperature and wind strength during the day. Cloud, pressure and sunshine observations from Nuriootpa, about 20 kilometres to the north, provide a guide to likely conditions at Mount Crawford on most days. See climate maps for average conditions.
