Source of data

Observations were drawn from Cleve Aerodrome {station 018116}.

No representative daily sunshine or evaporation data are available. The closest sunshine sites are Ceduna, approximately 320 kilometres to the northwest and Adelaide approximatley 250 kilometres to the south east. Neither are representative of Cleve. Sunshine is dependent on cloud cover. The closest evaporation site is Elliston about 100 kilometres to the west. This will provide a guide to conditions at Cleve in most situations, although annual average evaporation is slighlty more at Cleve. Evaporation is affected by cloud, relative humidity, temperature and wind strength during the day.
