Observations were drawn from Coober Pedy Airport {station 016090}.

The nearest sunshine and evaporation observations are at Woomera, approximately 320 kilometres to the southeast. On average Coober Pedy would have more sunshine hours and greater evaporation than Woomera. Sunshine is dependent on cloud cover and evaporation is affected by cloud, relative humidity, temperature and wind strength during the day. See climate maps for average conditions.
