Observations were drawn from Cape Jaffa (The Limestone) {station 026095}.

The closest representative station reporting cloud is Robe, about 20 kilometres to the south. This will give a guide to conditions at Cape Jaffa in most situations. The closest evaporation site is Coonawarra about 100 kilometres to the east southeast. Evaporation is affected by cloud, relative humidity, temperature and wind strength during the day. The average monthly and annual evaporation from Coonawarra and Cape Jaffa are similar. See climate maps for average evaporation and sunshine data.
