Source of data

Observations were drawn from Marla Police Station {station 016085}.

The nearest sunshine and evaporation observations are at Woomera, approximately 500 kilometres to the southeast. These are too remote to be representaive. Over a year Marla would have more sunshine hours and greater evaporation than Woomera. Sunshine is dependent on length of day and cloud cover. Evaporation is affected by cloud, temperature and wind strength during the day. See climate maps for average values.
