Regional Contacts

The Australian climate computer archive has a large amount of information available from some 18,000 rainfall sites, and from over 1000 sites with other climate data such as temperatures at specific times of day, wind, or evaporation. We can supply data in a number of ways, such as via FTP, email, CD ROM and floppy disc. Data can also be provided in printed form. To discuss your needs, please contact the Bureau of Meteorology office in your area, using the addresses listed below.

Please note - there is generally a charge associated with providing climate data apart from that available freely on the Bureau's basic product pages. This charge will depend upon the quantity of data and complexity of the request. A quote will be provided first where there will be a charge for providing the data.

The National Climate Centre can also assist with data, particularly where you want a large quantity or need data from different states. However all enquiries about forecasting and warning, weather maps etc should be addressed to the local Regional Office.
