The Australian monthly rainfall gridded data DVD contains:

• Monthly gridded rainfall data for the period 1900 to 2008 (1 grid per month)
• Monthly rainfall images for the period 1900 to 2008 (1 image per month)
• Metadata (information about the data) for the monthly grids

Format

Data is provided on DVD-ROM, comprising files in the following formats:

• Monthly gridded data files in ASCII grid-point format (2-dimensional regular array) with self-describing header;
• Map images in GIF format;
• Notes and metadata.
