Australian Air Temperature, Humidity and Pressure Data

Dry bulb, wet bulb and dew point temperatures, relative humidity, vapour pressure and saturated vapour pressure, mean sea level pressure and station level pressure data have been compiled for all stations across Australia. For each station the corresponding data file contains data from the start of recording until the latest available. Some stations do have gaps in the record. Not all elements are measured at each station, and not all elements may be measured over the same period of time at the same station.
Generally, observations are 3-hourly synoptic readings.

The data for approximately 1700 stations is held on two CD ROMs or one DVD ROM, grouped according to the State of Australia in which the station is located. The amount of data is approximately 4.8 Gbyte, with data compressed into ZIP format.

States are distributed as follows:
CD 1 - Antarctica, New South Wales, Northern Territory, Tasmania and Western Australia
CD 2 - Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Islands
DVD - All States, Territories and Islands.

Format: CD/DVD ROM. Data records are in comma separated ASCII text, with 1 observation time per record. The CD/DVD ROMs do not contain any data analysis software. Brief notes including a format description of the data and station list are provided.
