Victorian Climate Summaries

| Climate summaries for various Victorian regions
and cities include written text and supporting numerical data to describe
the characteristics of the local climate. |

| Climate summaries have been produced for a number of Victorian
climate districts and major cities. The summaries describe in words and
figures the monthly variation in different aspects of the local climate,
and include a discussion of any local climate characteristics of significance. |

| The format varies slightly between publications but all include
tables providing monthly averages of (where available) air temperature,
humidity, rainfall, cloud cover, hail, frost and fog occurrence, wind speed
and minimum ground surface temperature. Climate extremes are also included.
Some of the publications also include maps and graphs to illustrate particular
features. |

| The summaries presently include East Gippsland, West and South
Gippsland, North Mallee, South Mallee, Lower North East, Wimmera and Central
Victoria forecast districts, and the cities of Melbourne, Ballarat, Geelong,
Bairnsdale and Wodonga. A climate summary of Victoria has also been produced. |
